2+ hour Fedayien performance in Yukuhashi, sometime around ~1990.
By the way, this violin was the very first electric violin I ever built myself. Electric violins are relatively cheap now, but back then they were extremely expensive, so I had no choice but to make one on my own. The neck was taken from a broken old violin, and for the body I think I used hinoki wood or something similar - I bought a cutting board, cut it down, and painted it gold.
Once, Mr. Arita from Combo said, “Wow, this is really cool!” and that made me very happy. However, one time during an extremely hot summer, I left the violin in the car with the strings still under tension, and the body warped, making it unusable. Looking at this footage, the sound was actually quite good, such a shame.
After that, I built several different models of electric violins and even received some orders, earning a little money. Oh, and one of the customers back then ran a rice shop. I said, “Then just pay me in rice,” and when I woke up early the next morning, there was rice left at my door. I was really happy."
